Craig
"C-Note" Shemon keeps the show "in bounds",
while adding his unique brand of humor with his segments "C-Notes",
"Hollywood Quickie" and an occasional "police
blotter". With over twenty years of radio and television
experience, Craig is one of two original voices still heard
on Fox Sports Radio. He joined FSR as an update anchor and
weekend host in 2000, and also served as sports director before
being named full-time host. Craig also has performed play-by-play
duties for the NFL on FOX and NFL Europe. Prior to coming
to FOX, Craig spent seven years as the play-by-play announcer
for football, basketball, and baseball for The Citadel radio
network
in Charleston, SC. He also served as program director for
two all-sports radio stations the Charleston market. Earlier
in his career, the Associated Press named him best play-by-play
announcer in Indiana. Craig graduated from Indiana ("zero-tolerance")
University with a degree in Telecommunications in 1989. Craig's
nickname C-Note ($100 bill) was given to him by a caller earlier
in the year, and it evolved into his trademark "C-Notes"
at the end of every show. Now where else can you hear all
that?!
James "J-Dub" Washington has been "chillin'
like a villain" since joining FSR in the fall of 2004.
James won two Super Bowls with the Dallas Cowboys and came
within 1 vote of being named Super Bowl XXVIII's MVP (we'd
have voted for you, J-Dub). Also in Dallas, James earned the
nickname "Drive-by" for his fierce hits on defenseless
receivers (or maybe because of his
background in the 'hood, we're not sure!) He won two Rose
Bowls at UCLA as a standout defensive back. James has a BA
in history from UCLA and a Master's degree in Education from
Azuza Pacific. Before joining FSR , his previous radio experience
included stints at Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket in Dallas,
TX, and WTEM The Team in Washington D.C. In addition to his
radio duties, James serves as the president of AJK Investments,
Inc. and Proplayers Inc. He also founded Shelter
37, a charitable foundation for underprivileged youth
of Los Angeles. James regularly takes the show "out of
bounds" and keeps everyone else's finger on the 'dump'
button...
Sam
"The Chosen One" Betesh is Executive Producer
for the show. How he gets in contact the biggest names in
sports and otherwise, we'll never know. He just gets it done.
Sam joined FSR in 2002, and has been in charge of the morning
show since 2004. Sam has many nicknames: "The Chosen
One" because he's informed all of us that the Jews are
God's chosen people; "Chicken Hawk" because he allegedly
likes young chicks; and "Lord of the Rings" - something
to do with a strange story about guy-friends exchanging rings
in high school. BTW, he still wears the ring. Prior to his
arrival at FOX, Sam produced for Tom Tolbert & Ralph Barbierri
as well as Rich Barry at KNBR 680 in San Francisco, CA. He
started in radio at KSCO Santa Cruz as the host and producer
of "The Random Show". Sam received a sociology degree
with honors (good job Sam) at UC-Santa Cruz. All hail "the
Chosen One"...
Eddie
Dallas "Lady Bing" Garcia anchors the update
desk with the National Sports Report three times an hour (and
sometimes that's the only legitimate sports we'll hear that
hour). Eddie often officiates the heated arguments between
Craig and James during the show. He makes sure all sports
have a voice, squeezing in his "Insignificant Sports
Minute" and the infamous "Hockey Minute" daily.
Eddie received the nickname of "Lady Bing" for his
gentlemanly love of the NHL. Eddie joined FOX as a senior
update anchor in 2001. Prior to joining FSR, Eddie was a research
analyst for Fox Sports Net and Stats, Inc. From '90-'97 he
led KMPH 107.5 as the sports Director in Fresno, CA. He also
worked as a sports reporter/anchor at Fresno's KYNO 1300 and
KCBL 1340. In 1995, Eddie graduated Fresno State with a Telecom
degree. And no, he doesn't speak a word of Spanish... "¡Arriba,
Arriba!"
Vito
Violante is the technical producer of the show.
Without him, we wouldn't be on the air or have any of those
cool opens each hour. Vito also produces commercials and promos
for the entire FSR network.
